LOL! You may be right about that but it would be their biggest game of the year while meaning much less to OU with no conference standings involved. I just don't care about them that much and don't see why OU should do it from their perspective.
That's my feeling too. That's why I think ESPN put the pressure on them, either to get out of the LHN and/or because the Horns weren't quite attractive enough without OU.
I agree that Texas is more beholden than people, especially national people, understand. I just can't get over that $80M act of benevolence. It will be really interesting for me to read, hopefully sooner than later, the inside story of how this all came about.
Some day a book (or at least a series) will be written about this move to the SEC. Until then we don't know a lot about the process but one thing that just doesn't seem to make sense is the story from UT flak Chip Brown saying the University of Texas is paying the GOR penalty for them AND for OU...
One thing not being talked about much is we should be able to watch more of the sports like softball and baseball in the regular season through the SEC network. Bally Sports is a joke; the only way for streamers to watch was through one service and if you didn't have that or cable you were out...
OSU's new prez is either incredibly naive or disingenuously trying to ingratiate herself with the Ag fanbase with these catty comments. She is just embarrassing herself and the school. Time to move on,
Sort of reminds me of Paul Ruud in the 40-year-old virgin. Are OU and Texas going to have to do like Mindy Kaling and change their phone numbers, social media accounts, etc.? Dudes, when it's over, it's over.
Good luck to you guys with this forum. Most I've seen disintegrate into ... well .. you know, typical human behavior. I'm impressed that you are giving it a shot. This site has become my go-to site for Sooner sports.
I'm thinking Moser 's attack will be as tough for SEC teams to figure out as Lincoln Riley's offense. A lot of good athletes in the SEC but Moser brings a style that most haven't seen. Been watching OU BKB since Gar Heard and Clifford Ray. I think Moser is going to reach new heights with this...
Ags need the game a heckuva lot more than OU does. I can't see playing them every year when OU has an SEC schedule plus their yearly game against a name team. Maybe once every few years. OU has been carrying the Big 12 also-rans for long enough. Time for little brother to make his way in the world.
