Although I am not fond of your narrative, I would totally agree with you on starting Rattler.

I think it would be a mistake to start Williams over Rattler. Yes, Spencer has struggled. And yes, Williams APPEARS to be the better QB due to his running ability. And yes, he DID spark the team when it looked impossible to do so. And yes, Rattler has looked quite mortal in comparisons to what was expected. And yes, for the TEAM, the switch looks like the kind of move that would pay dividends towards staying undefeated and in the CFPhunt.
But…is is fair to not give Rattler a chance to redeem himself? Especially in front of his home crowd?
I say…start Spencer…keep him on a SHORT leash as far as his decision making, taking care of the football, and leading the team. If nothing else, play Caleb in the second half, no matter what the score.
Then, and ONLY then, can you justify FAIRLY, a true QB battle. Whether the "battle" is over, or ongoing.
