I think it’s kinda’ chicken s—t of him & his staff to not wait and jump ship until after the forthcoming bowl game - this year, OU paid them all very well to do a job they didn’t finish …. I liked Riley but I think the way this all came down was pretty crappy & to my mind, OU deserved better. I hope we get to play USC in the not too distant future and are able to serve him his butt on a platter - revenge is a dish best served cold!

I don’t fault Riley for leaving and taking a higher paying job - I’ve do so myself - I just think his timing sucked cause OU was good to him et al and I think the team, alumni and fans deserved better - but I also agree with your assertion that he wanted to avoid the SEC and thereby moved to a less competitive conference where he could become King of the Mountain. But, as the old adage says; be careful what you ask for because you might get it! Personally, I’m pulling for Venables ….
